    News18 Network announces top level elevations

    News18 Network has announced key elevations in the senior editorial team of the Hindi news cluster. Prabal Pratap Singh has been elevated to Group Editor, Hindi Cluster. In his new role, he will lead the editorial strategy across all the Hindi news channels.

     

    Kishore Ajwani, currently Deputy Managing Editor of News18 India, has been named Managing Editor of the channel. In addition to his current role of leading the output function, he will now be managing all the key functions such as input, output, production and assignment. He will report to Singh.

     

    Meanwhile, Amish Devgan has been promoted to Managing Editor of News18 Uttar Pradesh, News18 Madhya Pradesh and News18 Rajasthan. He has been tasked with the additional responsibility of further strengthening the regional Hindi news channels.

     

    News18 Network has also given additional responsibilities to Brajesh Kumar Singh, Consulting Editor. He will now lead News18 Gujarat and News18 Bihar.

    News18 India and CNN-News18 have lined up an extensive programming giving viewers access and insight into the upcoming elections. News18 India will present its programming under the umbrella branding ‘Sabse Bada Dangal’. The programming will also witness special edition of ‘Bhaiyaji Kahin’ and ‘Lapete Mein Netaji’.

     

    CNN-News18 will delve into all aspects of the Lok Sabha elections with its special programming ‘A Billion Votes’. With its diverse formats and data-driven programming, the channel will bring up-to-the-minute updates throughout the election.

     

    The programming will be led by the editorial team of the channels. On News18 India, Kishore Ajwani, Deputy Managing Editor, Amish Devgan, Executive Editor and Prateek Trivedi, Senior Editor, will be joined by prominent experts like Ram Kripal Singh and Shesh Narain Singh. CNN-News18 will feature top anchors – Bhupendra Chaubey, Executive Editor, Zakka Jacob, Editor – Output, Anand Narasimhan, Deputy Executive Editor, Marya Shakil, Political Editor.     Popular primetime anchor Kishore Ajwani has joined Network18 as Deputy Managing Editor of IBN7. Ajwani will lead the output function at IBN7, with the entire output team reporting to him.

     

    With this move, Deputy Managing Editor Sumit Awasthi will take charge of the input function. Both will work closely with Prabal Pratap Singh to take IBN7 to its next level of journalistic excellence, according to a communiqué.

     

    Ajwani, an electronics engineer with a master’s from the Delhi School of Economics and an MBA from MICA, has worked with Zee Business and Star News which later turned into ABP News.
