  • Innocean renews global media mandate with Havas

    By Our Staff

Innocean, global marketing and communications company, has agreed to renew its global media partnership with Havas Media Group beyond 2022. The company kicked off an internal review earlier this year and led the entire process on behalf of all relevant stakeholders from Hyundai Motor Group brands across their key regions.

:: The mandate comprises the Hyundai Motor Group brands Hyundai, Kia and Genesis

:: The global scope includes Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America, managed through Innocean’s international team in Seoul, its European team in Frankfurt, its Middle East team in Dubai, and its Asia Pacific teams in New Delhi and Jakarta

:: Innocean and Havas Media Group have a long history of partnership on behalf of the Hyundai Motor Group and are excited to continue this long-term relationship

In 2019, INNOCEAN ran a structured competitive pitch process and decided to again work with Havas Media Group as the media agency for Hyundai, Kia and Genesis. Over time, the partnership has led to a larger scope of work in various service areas. Whereas the relationship is now reviewed more frequently, Innocean is once again selecting Havas Media Group – the incumbent agency –for a longer period of time. Both parties are excited to continue their successful partnership into upcoming years.

William Lee, Global CEO at Innocean said: “We are satisfied to continue our partnership with Havas Media Group for the coming years. We made significant progress in the last few years to support our Hyundai Motor Group clients on digital transformation and excellence.”

Peter Mears, Global CEO at Havas Media Group said: “We are thrilled to extend our relationship with Innocean following a thorough and rigorous review process. The Hyundai Motor Group brands are leaders in new mobility solutions, and we look forward to reinvigorated collaboration as we help them navigate today’s everchanging media ecosystem.”

  • Crowdsourcing is Innocean’s theme for Hyundai i10

    By A Correspondent

With growing competitiveness and a need to refresh the communication for Hyundai i10 Hyundai mandated its agency Innocean Worldwide India to conceptualize a new campaign for the brand in line with its dominant presence in the compact segment. For 2013, Innocean thought about energizing the entire targeted base with a bait to get them thinking about the car. Not only was the intent about creating an energy field around the brand Hyundai i10 but also to make the entire universe of prospective car buyers a part of the communication engagement. The agency has devised the a crowd sourcing campaign using Shah Rukh Khan, where all prospective buyers of i10 and its existing owners get to write a script for the next i10 TVC. If selected the contestant gets to act with SRK in the TVC for i10.

Saurabh Dasgupta ECD at Innocean Worldwide India said, “The challenge for us lay in the defining the contours of this campaign to elicit a high level of response and stay true to the brand values of Hyundai i10. Yet at the heart of it all the communication intent is simple: imbibe the brand’s virtues, craft a script and full your acting dreams with SRK!”

The TVC in the first phase of the campaign has an agitated SRK asking the fumbling director for his lines and then turning to the audience asking them to write in with their scripts. This campaign utilises the digital platform extensively to close the participation loop. In the words of B Sridhar Group Director, Media & Digital Services at Innocean, “The campaign has given us a rather good sized canvas to draw a digitally integrated communication effort that’s all pervasive.” A micro-site enables all participants to upload their scripts as text, video or even audio files. There is the regular snail mail too. A single response number with ‘missed call’ facility enables an IVR driven interaction wherein the scripts can be recorded by the contestants.

“It’s a rather exciting idea we have thought of and it’s a composite one which looks at all aspects of communication and engagement touchpoints,” said Vivek Srivastava, Jt MD of Innocean. “The integration of diverse media apertures is one of the strengths of this endeavour and showcases our team’s technological capabilities alongside the dexterity with the advertising craft,” he added.

The campaign in this phase will run for six weeks seeking the consumers’ participation and thereafter return with the crowd-sourced id featuring the Hyundai i10, SRK and the winner.

  • Innocean devises ‘Moments of Brilliance’ for Hyundai

    By A Correspondent

Hyundai Motor India has recently launched the second phase of its corporate campaign under the umbrella concept of ‘Live Brilliant’. To add an experiential edge this campaign uses digital media innovatively via new cross-media digital activation and engagement titled ‘Moments of Brilliance’.

Live Brilliant is Hyundai’s global corporate campaign theme and highlights the inextricable nature of the brand with the happiness and brilliance in its consumers’ lives. This activation brings to life this strategic premise that true moments of brilliance in one’s life can happen anytime anywhere and deserve to be shared with one’s loved-ones and friends. So, Hyundai’s communications agency Innocean Worldwide India decided to engage their audience by devising a mobile phone app.

The application enables the user to scan the messages across media -print, dealer posters, outdoor or even on social media using his smart phone which serves the Live Brilliant TVC followed by the contest page.

Using this application, the user can share their own moment of brilliance on-the-go, whenever and wherever they experience it. They can submit freshly clicked images using their camera-phones or share a previous image from their phone gallery. Shankar Narayan Head of Digital practice at Innocean Worldwide, said, “It’s a first-of-its-kind; on-the-move contest enabled using a Mobile AR application. It brings the tacit imagery of the brand in the real world through real people.”

Elaborating further, B Sridhar, Group Director Media & Digital Services at Innocean Worldwide India said, “This initiative underlines the importance of digital technology and media in amplifying the brand ideas in a user friendly manner. Moreover the relevance and delight factor is ensured all along. We see in this instance a clear force multiplier to our media efforts and brand outreach.”

For the audience not using smartphones, this engagement devised by Innocean for Hyundai Motor India has an application on their official Facebook page to enable online entries for the contest. Along with the contest, this innovative application gives a remarkably personalized experience to its user by showcasing the Live Brilliant concept video via a collage of the user’s own images which are dynamically picked in real-time from the user’s Facebook album. The intent is to make the user feel related to the brand and the Live Brilliant motto. Users can even download this video collage and share it with friends. To reward and delight the consumers, from the total entries received, across platforms, 50 lucky winners will be chosen to win exciting prizes courtesy Hyundai Motor India.

Vivek Srivastava, Joint MD, Innocean Worldwide India, said, “This campaign is a living testimony to the agency’s strong digital capabilities and their leverage for client’s benefit. In times to come it will imperative for brands operating in high consumer involvement space to offer memorable and relevant experience to their patrons using the Digital medium. Moreover with this initiative our valued client Hyundai Motor India has proved yet again that its campaigns are more about relevantly designed consumer-centric experiences and not mere taglines.”
