  • Hooqinks content partnership with BBC Studios

    BBC Studios and Hooq India have announced a content deal that will give Indian viewers access to nearly 200 hours of top BBC drama including Luther, Maigret and Wolf Hall.

     

    With this deal, Hooq subscribers in India will have access to British dramas on itsvideo-on-demand service.  Said Myleeta Aga, SVP and GM of South and South East Asia, BBC Studios: “We have seen increasing interest in premium British dramas in India, and are very pleased to be working with Hooq to deliver quality British drama to meet this demand.”

     

    Added Jennifer Batty, Chief Content Officer of Hooq: “We are always looking out for new content to entertain our subscribers and we are very excited to share with our Indian subscribers these award-winning and highly rated dramas from BBC Studios.   • FoxyMoron & Motivator win creative & digital mandate for Hooq

    Following a multi-agency pitch, video-on-demand service Hooq, appointed FoxyMoron and Motivator as its creative and digital agencies respectively.

  • Hooq aims to ‘reignite’ VOD market in India

    Hooq, the video-on-demand service, announced its strategy for the Indian market. With the growing demand for Hollywood content in the country, Hooq will now focus on curating one of the largest repository of Hollywood content.

     

    The Singapore-based company also announced that consumers will now be able to stream and download movies and TV shows at an introductory price of Rs 89 for the first three months making it less than Re 1 per day..

     

    “After building strong partnerships with leading telcos as well as with a leading Broadband player, we are now pleased to announce Hooq’s consumer launch. Consumers can now download and enjoy the premium Hollywood content. Popular Hollywood TV Shows many of which are exclusive and Popular movies many immediately 90 days after cinema release are the star attraction of our catalogue which is one of the finest in the industry,” said Hooq Chief Executive Officer, Peter Bithos.
