  • Mindshare appoints Sudipto Roy as MD, Team Unilever for AAR

    Mindshare has appointed Sudipto Roy Managing Director, Team Unilever for AAR (APAC, Africa, Middle East, Turkey, and Russia). Roy’s mandate is with immediate effect and will bring the collective power of WPP to Unilever and help create a horizontal offering for one of the agency’s most important global accounts, notes a communique.

     

    Roy first started at Mindshare heading strategy for the Mindshare Unilever team in Mumbai in 2007. He relocated to Singapore in 2011 to lead the Unilever relationship out of the Singapore hub and went on to play a wider role as Chief Client Officer for Mindshare APAC in 2014. He later joined Tenth Avenue (WPP’s connected experiences company) as CEO of developing markets in 2015. Roy will be based out of Singapore and will wear two hats in his new role. In his first role, he will assume leadership of the Mindshare central and market teams in AAR and his other role will see him proactively work with various WPP agencies to create offerings across digital, data, research, consulting services, content, shopper, and e-commerce.

     

    Said Roy: “I am very excited to be back with WPP at such an interesting point in the development of this industry. We are perfectly poised to build on the advances of the last few years and create the next iteration of the marketing services model powered by data, technology, content & commerce. What we do now sets the tone for the next decade.”

     

    Commenting on the appointment, Peter Dart, Global Team Unilever Lead at WPP, said: “Roy joins us at a time when we are beginning a signifcant business transformation task as we bring many of our units together to create a more impactful service for one of our largest global clients. His deep knowledge of our markets, our network, and of the Unilever marketing teams will serve as a great enabler to drive this change.”

  • Zaheer Travadi appointed Partner, Mindshare Fast, SE Asia

    Mindshare has appointed Zaheer Travadi as Partner for Mindshare Fast, South East Asia. In this role, Travadi will report into Maneesheel Gautam, Digital Leader of Mindshare South East Asia. He will focus on establishing Mindshare as the champion in digital targeting with data and measurement, enabling the agency’s portfolio of brands to adapt to ‘Fast’ digital growth models, that are unique to the region.

     

    Commenting on the appointment, Himanshu Shekhar, CEO of Mindshare South East Asia said:

    Travedi started his career with Mindshare Fulcrum in Mumbai in 2003, when he worked on digital and mobile promotions for Unilever brands. He then spent nearly a decade at IBM and did a short stint at Microsoft before that.

     

    In 2014, Travadi joined Hindustan Unilever as Manager Digital Media & Marketing Services. He successfully drove the Cannes Lion-winning mobile marketing campaign (KaanKhajuraTesan) and set up Unilever’s first digital media command centre as also establishing Hindustan Unilever as a content marketing leader in the market, notes a communique.

     

    In his last venture with Crayon Data at Singapore, he worked closely with Mindshare Fast Singapore hub to develop a Programmatic Audience Targeting product.

     

  • Mindshare appoints Maneesheel Gautam as Digital Leader of SE Asia

    Global media agency network Mindshare has appointed Maneesheel Gautam to the role of Digital Leader of South East Asia.  Gautam is currently based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

     

    A true home-grown talent of Mindshare, Gautam has over 16 years of multi-function media experience across disciplines and countries. An MBA from IMDR Pune, Gautam schooled in St Xavier’s High School, Patna.

     

    As Digital Leader of Mindshare South East Asia, Gautam will focus on strengthening FAST (Future Adaptive Specialist Team), Mindshare’s service offering aimed at building sector-specific solutions for marketers to drive marketing and media actions using real-time insights. He will also be responsible for the growth of the Agency’s performance business in South East Asia.

     

    In his new role, Gautam, will report to Himanshu Shekhar, CEO of Mindshare South East Asia, and work closely with the Mindshare Asia Pacific team.

     

    Commenting on the promotion, Shekhar said: “Maneesheel is respected by clients, teams, and media partners alike. Being named Planner of the Year by Campaign Asia Pacific, he played a key role in driving Mindshare and our clients’ digital ambition in the market.
