Film Companion, the film content portal set up by journalist Anupama Chopra, announced its first FC Disruptors list recognising prime innovators in entertainment between July 1, 2018 and August 2019.
Speaking on the list and how and why it came about Chopra said: “I love the idea of disruption. The idea behind coming up with such a list was to recognise the contributions of some of the key artists of the Indian film industry and the way they have changed Indian entertainment. Of course lists are designed to create debate – we spent months arguing accomplishments and who should and shouldn’t be on the list. The FC Disruptors list is a snapshot of some of the most exciting work in entertainment.”
The stars of the FC Disruptors List 2019 include Akshay Kumar, Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Kanika Dhillon, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Alokananda Dasgupta, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Rahi Anil Barve, Adesh Prasad, Muhsin Parari, Bhushan Kumar, Deepti DaCunha, Gitanjali Rao, Yash, Vijay Sethupathi, Anita Udeep, Zoya Akhtar, Prashasti Singh, Ranveer Singh, Kabir Mehta, Karikku, Amala Paul, Ekta Kapoor, Mari Selvaraj and Anand Patwardhan,
