  • Eros Now goes aggressive with content slate

    Eros Now, the streaming entertainment service owned by Eros STX, has announced its content slate for 2021, with 46 new titles including 33 film premieres and 13 original series. existing global audience and cater to the growing consumer demand for fresh and entertaining online video content.

     

    The content slate, promoted through the campaign – #KahaaniHarRangKi, is based on insights derived from Eros Now’s proprietary user data, notes a communique.  A promo features Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan showcasing Eros Now content. At a presser held last week Eros Now said it has increased its paid subscriber base by 6.9 million in the six-month period ended September 30, 2020, to a total of 36.2 million.

  • Eros appoints Shikha Kapur as COO, Studios

    Eros International has announced the appointment of Shikha Kapur as Chief Operating Officer, Studios of its majority-owned subsidiary, Eros International Media Limited.

     

    As COO, Kapur will be responsible for leading the growth of the studio business at Eros. She will be responsible for feature films, web originals, and other differentiated content in India along with managing marketing and revenues for the film slate. She will also lead talent and partner relationships.

     

    Commenting on the appointment, Pradeep Dwivedi, CEO-India, Eros International Media Ltd. said: “Shikha has a leadership track record of bringing marketing innovation and business understanding that we believe is critical to lead our studios business.   • Eros Now rolls out its ‘Eros Now Quickie’ offering

    Eros International has announced that Eros Now, its digital OTT distribution service, is xpanding its content strategy with the launch of Eros Now Quickie. Eros Now will launch over 50 Quickie series set to roll out by 2019, the first two of premiered yesterday.

     

    Commenting on the launch, Ridhima Lulla, Chief Content Officer, Eros Group said: “Eros Now Quickie reiterates our commitment towards providing real value to our audiences by creating unique and original concepts that engage and stand out.   • Ridhima Lulla joins Indian Chamber of Commerce as Western India M&E Head

    Leading body of business and industryThe Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), has appointed Eros Group’s Chief Content Officer Ridhima Lulla as Head of the Western India Expert Committee in Media & Entertainment.
