  • Lowe Lintas creates brand film for Dollar Bigboss

    Dollar Industries Limited, manufacturers of hosiery  and innerwear apparels, rolls out a new brand film starring Akshay Kumar. The film conceptualised by Lowe Lintas Kolkata.

    Said Mr Vinod Kumar Gupta, Managing Director, Dollar Industries Limited: “We have enhanced the Bigboss range to include not only innerwear but also athleisure, gym-wear, and casuals for men. Through our enduring decade-long partnership with our brand ambassador, superstar Mr Akshay Kumar, our brand has experienced substantial growth.”

    Commenting on the campaign, Mohit Pasricha, Unit Creative Director, Lowe Lintas said: “Quite frankly, being punctual isn’t something that should be even up for debate. Unfortunately, being late has become the usual norm. However, come to think about it, and we will realise that the people who should be the most ‘busy’, are in fact very particular about time. The same holds true for Akshay. Despite being such a busy superstar, Akshay is a real stickler for punctuality. So, when we conceived the new commercial, we decided to stitch Akshay’s life values with riveting water-sport action so that in the end, it is not just relatable to the audience but also makes for an entertaining watch.”

  • Saif Ali Khan roped in as brand ambassador for Dollar hosiery

    Dollar Industries, hosiery brand has collaborated with Saif Ali Khan as the face of Dollar Lehar,the affordable product segment of the brand. The new ad film conceptualised by Lowe Lintas, Kolkata and directed by Uzer Khan is set in the backdrop of Rajasthan.

Increasing disposable incomes coupled with the aspiration to look as stylish as their metronome brethren cuts across Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities. As India’s homegrown innerwear brand, we decided to create a level playing ground for both our premium and economy segment and therefore we needed a communication which would appeal to these new evolving consumer segment who aspire for value-for-money fashion. The first step in that direction was to rope in Mr Saif Ali Khan to add to the style quotient of Dollar Lehar and then have a communication that would reflect his uber-cool persona through a witty plot and a memorable execution in the campaign Mastiki Lehar.”

     

  • Rajasthan Royals partners Dollar hosiery

    Dollar Industries has launched its latest brand campaign to promote Athleisurewear. The campaign has been conceptualised by Lowe Lintas, Kolkata. As Principal Sponsors of the Rajasthan Royals team for this edition of IPL, Dollar has partnered with five cricketing idols – Sanju Samson, Trent Boult, Shimron Hetmyer, Devdutt Padikkal & Riyan Parag of the Rajasthan Royals team to push forward the fashion quotient and strike a chord with the GenZ audience.

  • Akshay Kumar in new Dollar Bigboss TVC

    Dollar Bigboss, the men’s innerwear, has launched a new commercial to further boost the brand popularity. It features actor Akshay Kumar and has the tagline “Dollar Upar Gaya”. The film is set against the backdrop of a stock market.

     

    Said Vinod Kumar Gupta, Managing Director, Dollar Industries Limited: “With our decade long association with Akshay Kumar, our brand has witnessed a 5x times growth. The concept of the commercial clearly speaks how Dollar has lived upto the expectations of its consumers and thus maintaining its position as one of the three major players in the hosiery industry with 15 % market share. Our new tagline ‘Dollar Upar Gaya’ explains the brand’s soaring market acceptability. We also wanted our long-time payoff to have a new meaning, a different take for the brand.”

     

    Speaking on the idea behind the campaigns, Sagar Kapoor, Chief Creative Officer, Lowe Lintas, said: “Fit hai Boss as a payoff has always worked wonders for Dollar Bigboss. This time we used the phrase to develop a witty plot which establishes the growing value of the brand. Akshay is a brilliant actor who pulls off the film with flying colours.”

  • Dollar launches new TVC campaigns for the festive season

    Dollar Industries has unveiled a new campaign to promote its existing range of Dollar Bigboss and Dollar Missy.

     

    Post a brand architecture exercise led by LinConsult, the strategic consulting division of Mullen Lowe Lintas Group, this campaign was developed by Lowe Lintas Kolkata.

     

    Said Vinod Kumar Gupta, Managing Director, Dollar Industries Limited:  “We have expanded the Bigboss portfolio to include not just innerwear but also athleisure, gym wear and casuals for men. With our decade long association with Akshay Kumar, our brand has witnessed a 3x times growth. Coming to Dollar Missy, for women, armed with an enviable range of womenswear, we felt it was time for us to break old-standing beliefs as well. Our festive collection consists of 102 colors to choose from. The leggings cater to various occasions and are a perfect fit for the women across various leagues of life.”

     

    Speaking on the idea behind the two campaigns, Janmenjoy Mohanty, Regional Creative Officer, Lowe Lintas added: “Fit Hai Boss as a tagline has always worked wonders for Dollar Bigboss and this time around we have used the phrase to develop a plot which is futuristic but at the same time it delivers a key message – Bigboss can’t be cloned. This imagery goes hand-in-hand with the newly created Dollar brand identity which speaks of the modern times, the science and innovation involved. Akshay is a brilliant actor who pulls off the film with flying colours. With regards to Missy, the concept was derived from the product itself. These easy-to-slip-on legwear are meant for a wide variety of occasions and uses and lends itself perfectly to the idea that today’s multi-tasking woman is game for #SpeedDressing.”

     

    Both the commercials have been directed by adfilm-maker, Shiven Surendranath.
