  • Dainik Bhaskar emerges second largest digital media group in India

    DB Corp Limited (DBCL) announced that according to ComScoreratings of November 2016, DB Digital is now the second largest digital media group in India. Bhaskar Group sites at the second place, dominates the position with 1.02 billion page views which stands with a wide lead of around three times to the media house at the third place.

     

    Across all digital properties demonstrating steady growth, unique visitors has risen by 124 per cent YOY to 33.4 million in November 2016 from 14.9 million in November 2015 and page views grew by 228per centYOY to 1.02 billion for the month of November 2016 from 312 million in November 2015. DB Digital’s improving operational performance driven by various advertising monetisation efforts, hyper-local news and content coverage and exciting audience activation are also translating into better revenue growth for the business.

  • IAA ready with next debate featuring industry captains

    The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association has announced the theme and speakers for its next debate. The topic of the discussion at the second of the new season of IAA Debates, presented by the Dainik Bhaskar group is: Agencies are not rapidly reinventing themselves to stay relevant to changing Advertiser needs.

     

    It will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Blue Frog, Lower Parel, Mumbai, 6.30pm onwards, which will followed by cocktails and dinner.

     

    Speaking for the motion (that is Agencies are not reinventing themselves”) are Ashish Bhasin (of Dentsu Aegis) and Sameer Satpathy (of Marico)

    Speaking against the motion (that is “Agencies are reinventing themselves”) are Sam Balsara (of Madison) and Shireesh Joshi (of Godrej)

    The debate will be moderated by Anant Rangaswami, ‎Editor (CNBC – Storyboard).

  • Two new interactive programmes from MY FM Ahmedabad

    On January 16, MY FM announced that it is all set to launch two new interactive programs – Aradhana and Kajal @ 9 – in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. These shows will have unique content with big names driving it.

     

    The show titled ‘Aradhana’ will be aired from 6 to 7 every morning in the spiritual time band and have content taken from Kathakar and Morari Bapu.

     

    Kajal @ 9, a show hosted by eminent Gujarati writer Kajal Oza Vaidya, will be aired from 9-12 pm, Mon – Fri. The show, going on air from January 16, will have Ms Oza Vaidya resolving issues and concerns, ranging from right from relationship to career. Ms Oza Vaidya’s first show will be based on Uttarayan, the kite flying festival ofGujaratand relationships.

    MY FM, the radio business of DB Corp Ltd, took a bottom-up approach and started functioning from the Tier II cities of the country where the Bhaskar Group already had a stronghold. It set up its first station in Jaipur in 2006 and slowly expanded to 17 cities.
