  • Dainik Bhaskar returns with second edition of ‘Brain Hunt’

    The Dainik Bhaskar group has announced ‘Brain Hunt 2- Challenge your Imagination’ your Imagination as a nationwide initiative to stimulate and encourage the imagination of young minds to a new high of free and constructive thinking.

     

    Said Vinay Maheshwari, Vice-President, Sales and Market Development, Dainik Bhaskar group: “As an organisation, innovation and new thinking continues to be one of the key pillars of our growth. The youth have always been one of our key audiences with we whom we truly enjoy engaging with. What better way to harness and nurture the potential of this huge force and align it with our philosophy of innovation and change!”

     

    “We truly believe that Brain Hunt 2 will be another wonderful experience for students and the school community at large while also being a welcoming stress buster”. In 2010, the DB Group created the Bhaskar Champs Club to provide a creative platform to students to interact with other students on a common ground of exciting activities to foster intellect, acumen and brainpower. The Club now has about 10 lakh student members and 4,500 partner schools across the group’s geographical spread.

     

  • Bhaskar’s Brain Hunt gets 80k qualifying entries

    Brain Hunt 2012, an initiative of Dainik Bhaskar Group, was a national level creative contest based on ‘out of the box thinking’ for young Indians. It set a benchmark with a response of 80,000 entries that qualified for the contest.

     

    This follows earlier initiatives like Junior Editor 2011 which was recognized for ‘Largest Writing Competition’, with 67,130 entries by Guinness World Records, Limca World Record and India Book of Records.

     

    To participate in Brain Hunt 2012, the contestants had to complete 16 activities featured in the workbook specifically created for kids between 6 to 16 years of age. Questions like ‘What if ‘Bapu’ was alive today?’, ‘After a series of inventions like iPhone, iPad and iTunes, what’s next and why?’, ‘What 10 things would you like to take with you on your journey to moon?’ are example of the questions the kids had to answer.

     

    The 80,000 qualifying entries included a letter written to the President which shared the kids’ ideas on ‘How can we makeIndia even a better country’. The winning letters were handed over to the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan during the award ceremony.

     

    Vinay Maheshwari, Vice President- Sales and Market Development, Dainik Bhaskar Group said: “The journey which started with a mere idea turned into some beautiful masterpieces of the imagination of 6 to 16-years-old kids, giving a new dimension to every challenge on which they were tested.”

     

    He added: “The reader engagements are carried out with a sole objective of engaging and involve our readers to strengthen the relationship. The group has successfully raised the bar with constant innovations and simultaneously reaching out to almost all household with its smart engagement proposition. Our upcoming smart reader engagements will now put higher emphasis on participation and contribution of both children and parents through such initiatives provided by Dainik Bhaskar to nurture their hidden talents.”

     

    The award function at Rashtrapati Bhavan, presided by the President of India, Hon Pratibha Patil was also attended by Dr Bharat Agrawal, Executive Director, Dainik Bhaskar Group.

     

  • Dainik Bhaskar Group Launches ‘The Brain Hunt 2012’

    Dainik Bhaskar Group,India’s largest newspaper group, believes in offering its readers ‘smart engagement’ that aim to fill the void of originality and innovation. This is exemplified by the activities under Bhaskar Champs Club (BCC); a club that provide a platform for students to enrich their knowledge, practical wisdom, creativity and showcase their talents.

     

    The club has been instituted for school students to develop reading habits in ‘Gen-Next’ and boost future readership. The Bhaskar Champs Club has more than 1 lakh members acrossIndia.

     

    In 2012, BCC intends to showcase another mind- engaging activity, ‘The Brain Hunt 2012’, the fourth initiative in a row. ‘Bhaskar Champs Club’, ‘Brain Hunt 2012- The quest for wonder kidz’. The initiative was started with the successful Scrapbook Activity in 2010, which had 9 winners in 3 classifications – class 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12, who were awarded by Aamir Khan, was followed with Junior Picasso (National Level Painting Competition), which led to creation of a desk top calendar from the winning 24 entries in 2011. The same was released by Ms Ambika Soni atDelhi. The year also saw BCC’s ‘Junior Editor-2011’ being recognized by ‘The India Book of Record’ as the Largest Newspaper-making Competition with more than 68,000 student participants which culminated with an evening for the winners with Army Chief Gen

    Mr. Vinay Maheshwari, Vice-President- Sales & Market Development, Dainik Bhaskar, said: “Brain Hunt-2012 is our initiative to hunt for visionary brains. It is a true roller-coaster ride with 16 mind boggling activities presented in a wonderfully crafted activity workbook available pan-India from January 11. Themes and activities in the workbook will test true strength of a student’s creativity and innovation.”

     

    Mr. Maheshwari concluded: “Brain Hunt 2012 will enable students to ‘Imagine

    a Whole New World’, ‘Experiment with the facts’, ‘Visualize the unseen’ and Think

    Unlike!!!’, around which the whole idea has evolved”. The activity starts in January 2012 and will be completed by March 2012.
