  • Dentsu Webchutney appoints Gaurav Soi as EVP

    Dentsu Webchutney has roped in Gaurav Soi to head its new business operations, nationally. Soi joins as Executive Vice President and will report to Sidharth Rao – CEO, Dentsu Webchutney.

     

    As part of his new mandate, Soi will identify and channelize new opportunities for the agency across its offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. Prior to this, Soi was Senior Vice President – Havas Worldwide, Mumbai.

     

    Commenting on his appointment, Soi said, “The most commonly used word in conversations today is digital. It is no longer the future. It is here and now! Denstu Webchutney has a proven track record and is associated with very prestigious brands. Known for its quality product and forward thinking, I am extremely proud to be a part of this team.”

     

    “The company is aggressively focusing on growth; and yet, we will need to retain the quality of our product across client offerings. It is this balance that will make the road ahead a very exciting one,” he added.

    With more than 15 years of experience, Soi has worked with agencies including The Grey Group (Mumbai), Ambience Publicis, Metal Communications and most recently Havas Worldwide. He has also been part of the events and activations industry through Line Communications.

     

  • Zee appoints Rajesh Sethi as CEO for TEN

    Taj Television Pvt Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, has announced the appointment of Rajesh Sethi as CEO to manage the sports business. He will report to Zee MD and CEO Punit Goenka. Atul Pande, who was CEO of the sports business until Mr Sethi joined on July 2, will be offered an alternate responsibility within the Essel Group.

     

    Speaking on the appointment, Mr Goenka said, “His rich experience across various sectors would bring in immense value to the organization, enhancing the performance of our sports business by many folds”.

     

    Commenting on his new role, Mr Sethi said, “Media & Entertainment is an extremely dynamic sector, and I am glad to join a brand which is a leader in this category..”

     

    Wis experience of over 20 years across multiple sectors like insurance, consumer services and automobiles, Mr Sethi was until recently employed with Allianz Global Assistance as CEO and Region Director – South East Asia.

     

    An alumnus of the Harvard Business School, Rajesh also holds a degree in mechanical engineering and a diploma in international business and sales and marketing.

     

  • Mindshare Appoints Rajit Desai as Partner – Consulting

    Mindshare, the flagship GroupM media agency, has further strengthened its consulting and analytics discipline in the west with the appointment of Rajit Desai as Partner, Mindshare Consulting.

     

    In his new role, Mr Desai would actively contribute towards developing and restructuring Mindshare’s business consulting offering for clients in west region. He will be reporting to the Sandeep Pandey who is the head of practice.

     

    In his last role, Mr Desai served as the Vice President and Head of Lab Centre (research and strategy hub) at Lodestar UM. Having worked in the marketing vertical and as media consultant for various leading companies such as HTA, Sony, Times Now, Loadstar, Media e2e and Turner Broadcasting, Mr Desai comes with 16 years of work experience in the media function.

     

    Said Mr Pandey on the appointment, “Our nature of work requires people from strong consulting and business strategy profile and Rajit has a combination of both. It is part of our larger talent restructuring within consulting discipline and you will hear soon about many senior profiles joining from different industries.”

     

    On his move to Mindshare, Mr Desai said, “This exciting role is a logical next step for me. I see this as a big opportunity and I look forward to help address client’s marketing and business problems and grow the practice along with the high quality team at Mindshare.”
