  • Colors Tamil partners with Nick to launch kiddie segment

    Colors Tamil has announced the launch of ‘Nick Neram’, a kids’ special segment, partnering Nickelodeon (which is run in India by Viacom18, the owners of the Colors network of channels). As a part of this special initiative, Colors Tamil will air Golmaal Jr and Rudra: Boom Chik Chik Boom, two brand new animated series.

     

    Commenting on the new shows, Rajaraman S, Business Head, Colors Tamil, said: “After the success of our current shows, we are elated to introduce two animated series to our lineup. While all our fiction and non-fiction shows have been popular among the Tamil viewers, we are now confident that Nick Neram will help us gain prominence among children as well. We are certain that this fresh, relevant, localised and compelling segment is another landmark for Colors Tamil in its journey to become the most preferred family entertainment channel in the Tamil entertainment space.”

  • Nickelodeon announces 10th IP for Sonic

    After a slew of home-grown IPs like Motu Patlu, Pakdam Pakdai, Shiva, Rudra, amongst others, Nickelodeon is all set to introduce its first spooky comic series and its 10th Indigenous IP – Lego presents “Happy & Pinaki- The Bhoot Bandhus” on Sonic. Produced by Tavrohi Animation, the show will start on November 9 at 11:30 AM.

  • Ting Tong. Nickelodeon unveils 9th Made-in-India IP

    After Motu Patlu, Rudra, Shiva and the Golmaal Gang, Nickelodeon has announced its ninth homegrown Made-in-India IP called Ting Tong. The seven-minute animated show will air starting September 28 at 9 am on Sonic.

     

    Speaking about the IP, Nina Elavia Jaipuria – Head Hindi Mass Entertainment & Kids TV Network said: “Nickelodeon has consistently created winning original IPs, all of which are chart toppers in the genre and continue to get immense love from our young viewers. Creating immersive content for kids is at the core of all our initiatives. Current challenges notwithstanding, we continue to invest in content and have been relentlessly creating memorable content and category pioneering experiences for kids. The new IP Ting Tong is our 9th local IP in 9 years and is yet another endearing character that is sure to create a bond with kids across the country.”

  • Nickelodeon Intnl teams up with Indian arm

    Nickelodeon International has teamed up with Nickelodeon India to coproduce The Twisted Timeline of Sammy & Raj. The new series marks the first collaboration between the top kids’ entertainment brand and the leading Indian kids’ category brand from India’s fastest growing entertainment network.

  • Nickelodeon launches its fifth ‘Made in India’ IP

    Nickelodeon has launched a new series ‘Rudra – Boom ChikChik Boom’, a ‘magic comedy’ series starting June 11.

     

    Announcing the launch, Nina Elavia Jaipuria, Head – Kids Entertainment Cluster, Viacom18 said: “Nickelodeon has always introduced kids to characters that are inspiring, unique and endearing. Our new character Rudra is another category first and is sure to be much loved and adored by kids,” adding: “We have been focused at creating an entire ecosystem for kids that extends beyond television to Movies, The launch of Rudra is set to add further depth to our portfolio and provide impetus to our objective of engaging kids and creating a dynamic kids ecosystem.”
