  • Anshuman Misra joins Graphic India as EVP and Country Head

    Graphic India, an Indian-themed character entertainment company, has appointed media executive Anshuman Misra as executive vice president (EVP) and Country Head for India.

     

    In his new role, Misra will be working closely with global Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sharad Devarajan to expand the company’s operations in the region across animation, live action and the metaverse, to further Graphic India’s mission of creating original Indian superheroes, mythological worlds, and character entertainment franchises.

     

    Said Devarajan: “Anshuman Misra has a proven track record as a media leader who has established some of the most iconic brands and businesses in India. I am thrilled and honoured to bring his wealth of experience to Graphic India as we expand our mission to create characters, heroes and stories that are uniquely Indian, but entertaining and inspiring to audiences around the world. India has the world’s largest youth population and its time it shared an equivalent portion of the annual $100 billion-dollar global character entertainment and licensing industry.”

     

  • Anshuman Misra is President, Showt

    Showt Limited, the creators of Showt (“Shout”), the world’s instant global voting platform, having its global launch in the first quarter in India, has announced that Anshuman Misra will become President of Showt Limited, starting October 21.

     

    Misra is joining Showt after eight years at Hike, where he was Vice President of Operations (Product, Growth, and Engineering) until recently.

     

    Said Showt CEO, Michael March: “We are thrilled to welcome Anshuman to our team. His 17 years of deep tech and commercial experience in leading roles at Hike, Spice Digital, IBM, and Microsoft will be instrumental in helping us quickly to scale Showt to everyone with a mobile phone in India and then the world,” adding: “Anshuman’s proven ability to drive strategic growth in digital consumer products through product innovation, NLP and AI, will greatly contribute to Showt’s partner and consumer offering and growth worldwide.”

  • Anshuman Misra quits Turner

    Turner International Asia Pacific announced today that Anshuman Misra, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Networks and Content Distribution, has resigned from his position with effect from October 12.

     

    After almost 14 years with Turner in Asia, Hong Kong-based Mr Misra is to take time off before embarking on his next career move.

     

    Said Mr Misra, “After working without a real break for more than two decades, I look forward to taking a few months off before I start the next chapter of my work life. I hope it’s as exciting as the time I’ve had with Turner. I want to thank everyone at Turner for all the support and camaraderie. I walk out of the company very satisfied but also sad to leave such a great bunch of people.”

     

    Steve Marcopoto, President and MD Turner International Asia Pacific said, “On behalf of everyone at Turner in Asia, I’d like to thank Anshuman for his significant contribution to the company’s success since 1998. He has been a first class colleague and trusted business partner throughout and we wish him every success in the next stage of his career.”

     

    Prior to joining Turner, Mr Misra was General Manager, BBC World (India) where he managed the distribution and sales of the news and current affairs channel.
