    Britannia Industries Limited has announced the appointment of Amit Doshi as Chief Marketing Officer. He takes over from Vinay Subramanyam, who has moved on after two stints spanning 16-odd years.

     

    Commenting on the appointment, Varun Berry, Managing Director, Britannia Industries said: ‘’I am happy to welcome Amit back to the Britannia family. Amit’s cross-sectoral marketing experience will be valuable in taking our innovation mindset to the next level and building consumer delight.  I thank Vinay for his invaluable contribution in building purposive brands especially during the difficult times of the last two years, and wish him the very best in his endeavours.’’

     

    Doshi spent eight-and-a-half years at at Lenovo and before that nine-odd years at Britannia.

     

  • Taproot bags mandate for Lenovo’s campaign

    Taproot Dentsu has been awarded the creative mandate for the forthcoming campaign of the tech giant, Lenovo. The agency won the mandate following a multi-agency pitch and will now service the account from its Mumbai office.

     

    The campaign will focus on Lenovo’s smart and innovative offerings. It aims to carry the Lenovo story forward in the Indian market.

    Speaking of the association, Amit Doshi, CMO – India and South Asia, Lenovo said, “Taproot was quick to understand our business need and translate it into interesting possibilities.     IVM Podcasts, the leading podcast network, has announced that Sanjeev Mehta has been appointed as Business Head for the network. With a career spanning over two decades, Mehta comes with vast sales experience having worked within media and leading radio brands like Red FM, Radio Mirchi and earlier also with Mid-Day Multimedia. At Red FM, as a National Head, he spearheaded advertising business for all their stations.

     

    It may be recalled that Pratilipi and IVM Podcasts recently announced that they will join forces to create a sustainable and scalable model for the podcasting industry in India.  IVM Podcasts will continue to create content under the Pratilipi banner, with an even larger and more diverse portfolio of podcasts across genres.

  • Vox Media looks to expand reach to a wider listener base

    Digital audio content creator Indus Vox Media has launched two new podcasts titled ‘Anything But Bollywood’ and season 2 of their popular show ‘The Rediscovery Podcast’.

     

    In the Bollywood show, independent filmmaker Neha RT will sit down to talk to some of India’s best creators and filmmakers about art, cinema, inspiration and pretty much anything but Bollywood! The Rediscovery Podcast is a travel show with Ambika Vishwanath and Hoshner Reporter as hosts.
