    Travel app Ixigo has rolled out a campaign #TrainKaSwad in collaboration with food YouTuber and blogger, Gaurav Wasan to explore best of Indian street food through train journeys. The video series will showcase train adventures across India, covering Indian cities and discovering food vendors and famous delicacies.

  • New ixigo ad campaign targets gimmicky travel cashback schemes

    Travel marketplace ixigo has launched its new brand campaign with the slogan #FullPaisaVasool across media. The campaign empathises with travellers who receive a lot of cashback money in their travel app wallets but then feel short-changed when they are not allowed to use most of it on their next transactions. On ixigo, travellers booking flights can earn ixigo money on flight bookings and also spend 100 per cent of their ixigo money balance on their next booking.

     

    Announcing the campaign launch, Aloke Bajpai, CEO and Co-founder ixigo, said: “Gimmicky travel cashback programmes should not exist because they hurt the credibility of the entire industry. At ixigo, we believe in transparency as one of our core values, so it was natural for us to be disrupting how loyalty and cashback works in our industry! We want every traveller to get 100% value for their money by being able to use all the cashback that they earn on their next flight booking, irrespective of which travel seller they choose to book the ticket from, on our app.”

     

     

  • ixigo rolls out integrated campaign aimed at travellers

    Travel player ixigo has come out with an all-new brand campaign that urges people to take a break from their TV screens and travel. Conceptualised and conceived by the Delhi office of Lowe Lintas, the idea was to use the agency’s extensive experience with e-commerce brands and startups to break away from the clutter of conventional category advertising.

     

    Commenting on the campaign launch and agency on boarding, ixigo CEO &Co-Founder, Aloke Bajpai said: “ixigo has been at the forefront of innovation for online travel in India over the last decade. Our campaign is directed towards building wider brand awareness amongst travellers, enabling us to provide a larger customer base with the best travel planning solutions.   • ixigo bets big on content, apps post revamp

    Travel portal ixigo.com has announced a major revamp to its trip planner product with new content and social features.

     

    Some of the new features include street view of monuments that will offer 360-degree views of historical monuments. Through this feature, ixigoers will be able to get panoramic views of key monuments and historical sites in India, providing a real virtual tourist experience of what the place actually looks like. This will help travellers in planning their trips better by knowing in advance what to expect at these historical sites. Other feature includes expanded content coverage where the website will cover tourist information over 5000 cities, towns and hill-stations in India. It will provide detailed information including names, addresses, locations, photos, opening timings, prices, detailed tourist guides etc. for over 63000 places to visit, 17000 activities and things to do, 16000 hotels, 5000 nature and wildlife spots and over 5,000 tips from travellers.

     

    Announcing the revamp, Aloke Bajpai, CEO & Co-Founder said, “Thanks to the ever-expanding content coverage on trip planner and our unbundled approach to solving specific travel use cases on mobile apps, we have registered a 2x year-on-year growth.     Other features include finding restaurants across the country where the website will showcase over 65,000 restaurants across India on its website and apps. It will also offer the useful ‘Near Me’ location-based mobile feature in its app that helps people explore great local places to eat at, stay or explore in whichever city they are. Ability to add new places and pictures that will allow travellers to add interesting places to visit, hotels, restaurants and even photos making the website more comprehensive, and in turn more informative for fellow travellers.
