  • Endemol Shine elevates Anaya Mohanty

    Endemol Shine India announced the promotion of Anaya Mohanty into the role of Head of Development for Premium Scripted and Non-Scripted, reporting to Abhishek Rege, CEO, Endemol Shine India.

     

    Mohanty has nearly two decades of experience in the creative field. Prior to joining Endemol Shine India, she worked with Colour Yellow Productions Pvt. Ltd in Marketing for Digital Media and Operations, was a Creative Producer at Eros Now, and producer at CNBC-TV18.  She has also worked as a Creative Consultant, Writer, and Senior Producer on multiple projects.

  • Bigg Boss to take off on October 3

    The fourteenth season of Bigg Boss will premiere on October 3 at 9pm only on Colors and stream on Voot Select.

  • Endemol acquires rights to the book ‘Lioness: The last Queen’

    Endemol Shine India announced that it has acquired the rights for Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni’s yet unreleased book ‘Lioness: The last Queen’. Mumbai-based book-to-screen company – The Story Ink has put the deal together and will also be involved as one of the producers.

  • Endemol does its bit with ‘Be Cool Don’t Be A Fool’ initiative

    Endemol Shine India in collaboration with more than 20 artists started its campaign ‘Be Cool Don’t Be A Fool’ urging all Indians to stay in during the ongoing lockdown. Throughout the campaign artists will post video messages taken from inside their homes to encourage people to stay at home and not venture out as we all stay inside to fight against the COVID 19 together.

  • Endemol Shine India announces new web series

    Endemol Shine India announced that it will be creating a web series based on Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy’s book Trial By Fire: The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy. The series will be helmed by Prashant Nair whose 2015 film, ’Umrika’, is the only Indian feature film to ever win an award at the Sundance Film Festival.

  • Bigg Boss makes its debut in Malayalam

    After launching in Hindi, Kannada, Bangla, Telugu, Marathi and Tamil, reality show Bigg Boss has launched its premiere season in Malayalam. The launch marks the 25th season in totality for the franchise in India. The reality show will be aired on Asianet and hosted by popular Malayalam film actor Mohanlal.

     

    Talking about the completion of 25 seasons of the franchise in India market, Abhishek Rege, CEO, Endemol Shine India said: “Bigg Boss, now in its 7th language and 25th season, is undoubtedly the most popular non-scripted show across the country entertaining viewers from all strata of society.   • Endemol big(g) boss Deepak Dhar moves out of the house

    Market leading independent producer, Endemol Shine India, has announced that Deepak Dhar, its MD and CEO for 11 years, has decided to step down to pursue a new venture. Meanwhile, COO Abhishek Rege will be the new CEO and work along with Dhar in the transition period.

     

    Commenting on behalf of the Endemol Shine India Board, Nicola Bamford, CEO of International Operations at Endemol Shine Group, said: “Abhishek has played a central role in Endemol Shine India’s growth during his time as Chief Operating Officer and we couldn’t ask for stronger leadership to further build on the company’s remarkable successes across non-scripted and scripted genres.  Deepak will be leaving with our sincere thanks for all he has done in driving Endemol Shine India to become the market leader that it is today and we wish him every success for the future.”

  • Abhishek Rege appointed COO for Television & Films at Endemol Shine

    Endemol Shine India announced the elevation of Abhishek Rege as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Television and Films. Rege currently leads the television business of the company as COO for Television.  The company recently forayed into the movie-making business and has co-produced films like Brothers, Traffic and Te3n. In his new role, Reg will be responsible to nurture and further grow the company’s film business in India, in addition to overlooking Endemol Shine India’s robust television business. He will continue to report into Deepak Dhar, MD and CEO, Endemol Shine India.

     

    “Having worked with Abhishek closely for many years, I have great confidence in his understanding and capabilities of the business. Leading such a diverse portfolio in today’s dynamic environment is a mammoth task. Under Abhishek’s able leadership our television business continues to grow and I am confident that he will also evolve our burgeoning film business”, said Dhar on the appointment.

  • Ashok Vidyasagar joins Endemol as Senior VP

    Endemol India has announced the appointment of Ashok Vidyasagar as Senior Vice President to lead operations of the entire South India Business including shows like Bigg Boss. He will be responsible for focusing on scripted business opportunities in addition to exploiting the non-scripted catalogue of Endemol in the four southern languages of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Based out of Chennai, Ashok will report into Abhishek Rege, Chief Operating Officer – Television, Endemol India.

     

    Prior to joining Endemol he was instrumental in setting up Big Synergy Media Ltd, South Operations as Business Director – South. “We have always been focused on building regional franchises of our global shows especially in the south. With Ashok leading the southern market, we hope to further expand and build more such ventures,” said Mr Rege.

As part of their new structure, Abhishek Rege has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer – Television, where he will be seen overlooking strategic operations specific to the production of new shows for television across the country. Doris Dey comes on board as the Fiction Head. She will be responsible for driving the fiction properties and concepts that will best engage and entertain the viewers. Based out of Mumbai, these two dynamic professionals will be seen playing pertinent roles in providing seamless operational and strategic inputs across the company.
