    CineMan Productions launches OHO Gujarati

    CineMan Productions has associated with Khushi Advertising to launch OHO Gujarati, a premium streaming platform. It will feature content from the Gujarati media and entertainment industry. Spearheaded by Abhishek Jain, filmmaker and founder of CineMan Productions and co-founder, OHO Gujarati, the venture will showcase blockbuster movies, web/mini-series, documentaries, talk shows, theatre plays amongst others. The platform is dedicated to bringing curated stories by the people from every corner of Gujarat to the limelight, the name of the platform too was suggested by the people through a poll that was conducted online.

     

    OHO Gujarati will kickstart its streaming with the maiden web series, Vitthal Teedi, starring Pratik Gandhi of Scam 1992 fame.

    Said Jain: “I believe there are several talented, young storytellers. And the vision to launch OHO Gujarati is to provide a platform to inspire and encourage these undiscovered talents. Through this venture, we wish to bring to fore the culturally rich heritage of Gujarat, in terms of literature, content and entertainment, which can be showcased to the world. Also, it is a small effort to bring forward the best stories from every corner of the state, which will not only entertain and enlighten the Gujarati community in India but will make the global Gujarati community feel connected to their roots.”

    Havas India elevates Mohit Joshi, announces senior level promotions

    Havas Media Group India announced a slew of senior level promotions across the group in India.

    Mohit Joshi currently Managing Director, Havas Media India, has been named Managing Director, Havas Media Group India. Uday Mohan, Executive Director, Havas Media-North is being promoted to Managing Partner, Havas Media-North & East. Soumya Sarkar, General Manager is being given additional charge as General Manager & Branch Head, Havas Media-West.

     

    Included in the promotions roster are – Abhishek Jain as Executive VP Investments, earlier VP Investments. Mitesh Desai, Head-Creative, UX & UI is now National Creative Director and Gregory Phillip has been named Associate VP-Operations for Arena Media.

    Speaking on the appointments, Anita Nayyar, CEO, Havas Media Group India & South Asia, said, “Havas Media Group in India has been growing at a rapid pace, last year we grew 42 per cent. It has been a straight line graph going upwards since we started operations in 2006 and we have aggressive plans ahead. Companies don’t grow on their own, they need – people. As we scale, we would like to elevate the passionate people who helped us reach where we are today and we count on them going forward.”

    Abhishek Jain will head buying for the west for Havas Media India, with the buying and operations team reporting in to him. Prior to joining Havas Media, he was with Lintas Media Group managing buying for Maruti and Sony.
