    India TV has made its popular show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ available on YouTube with sign language interpretation for hearing-impaired viewers.

     

    The new accessibility feature has enabled the hearing-impaired viewers to understand and enjoy the show hosted by veteran journalist Rajat Sharma. The shows stream live and are available on India TV YouTube channel with sign language interpretation to make it easier for hearing-impaired viewers to comprehend the content.

    India TV Editor-in-Chief and Chairman Rajat Sharma will be back with new episodes of Aap Ki Adalat in the new year. Sharma, notes a communique, will reveal never-heard-before, behind-the-scene stories that happened during the three decades-long journey of  Aap Ki Adalat. In the special episode ‘Legends of Aap Ki Adalat’, Sharma will share anecdotes from his hugely popular show over the years.

    Beside, political dignitaries the show also has been seeing many celebs from across genres like entertainment and sport.

  • Delhi HC restrains use of Rajat Sharma’s name in Zee Hindustan ads

    Delhi High Court has injuncted Zee from using the name of India TV founder and chairman Rajat Sharma in any of its advertisements. According to information received, the Court has directed Zee to remove all hoardings across the country which mention the name of Sharma.

     

    While granting the injunction in favour of India TV, the Delhi HC has upheld the celebrity rights of Sharma in his name. Sharma has been hosting the television show Aap Ki Adalat for over 25 years. Interesting, Aap Ki Adalat started out on Zee TV before Sharma moved on from the network.

     

     

  • ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ puts up mega show on eve of 21st anniversary

    Aap Ki Adalat celebrated completion of 21 years by hosting one of the biggest gatherings ever witnessed in recent times. In a dazzling event organized by India TV at Pragati Maidan, the attendee list sported names like President Pranab Mukherjee, PM Narendra Modi, Union ministers including Arun Jaitley, Smriti Irani, Venkaiah Naidu, Suresh Prabhu, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar, Ram Vilas Paswan, Dharmendra Pradhan, Rajyavardhan Rathore and Najma Heptullah. BJP President Amit Shah, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and former LS Speaker P A Sangma and BJP Chief Amit Shah also attended the event. Chief ministers Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Vasundhara Raje Scindia, and Harish Rawat too made it to the event.

     

    The three Khans of Bollywood – Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir, were joined by other stars from Bollywood including Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgun, Hema Malini, Anupam Kher, Sonakshi  and Shatrughan Sinha and Rani Mukerji.

     

    The top highlights of the evening included PM’s Modi’s heartful recollection of his experiences with Aap Ki Adalat and when the three Khans attempted to put Rajat Sharma behind the dock to grill him.

     

    PM Narendra Modi talking on what makes Aap Ki Adalat distinct observed, “In the 21 years of this show, nobody has been forced to reply. Rajat knows the art of extracting a reply through his sweet questioning. Another big quality of Rajat is that he uses his tongue sparingly in his show, but he uses his heart to the fullest. A clever mind works behind this.”

  • India TV to celebrate 21 years of ‘Aap Ki Adalat’

    India TV’s iconic show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, hosted by Rajat Sharma, completes 21 years of airing in India. To commemorate the milestone, India TV is organizing an event on 2ndDecember 2014 that will be graced by the who’s who of India including the President, Prime Minister, Bollywood stars, sports icons, business leaders, etc.

     

    Ritu Dhawan, MD & CEO, India TV said, “Words would be redundant if we try to sum-up the glorious journey of Aap Ki Adalat, equally redundant would be an attempt to word the glory of the celebration plan. I am sure that every bit will be loved by both who will be present for the ceremony & those who will get to watch this on their TV sets.”

    In the last two decades, this show has enviably featured almost all top names from India. During the celebration most of the personalities who featured in Aap Ki Adalat in its journey are expected to grace this mega event, making it the biggest such gathering in recent times.

     

    GEC channel Star Plus has also decided to be part of the celebrations and the event will be simulcast on both the channels – India TV and Star Plus on a 7th December at 10pm.
